Somehow I thought Jeff would appreciate this, given all the ribbing I take for my apparent preference in the women department.

This here blog details all things about the CNMI (that's the islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota for you mainlanders) and why it's so great. To a lesser degree this here blog details all things about the BRAD (that's arms, legs, torso and head) and why he's so great (or at least slightly a shade over lame). We'll hit activities, cool spots and a bit of politics but the plan is to mainly stay away from all of the complainy stuff and celebrate island life in the Marianas.

Good thing there are only 3 black guys on Saipan.
Do you think an increase in our black male populace could spawn an increase in Russian and European tourism in Saipan or is Bateman and Blalock the main deterrent?
Perhaps our legislature can study this matter after cession interest wanes.

Could be those Ruskies have enough calls for terrorism in their own country and don't want to come here to hear Hodges spinning more of them.

watch this one it's hilarious
actually, that link isn't hilarious. i'd like to get tina's side of the story to make it fair.
i believe that she'll do more for the cnmi than just about anyone. all she needs is to get cinta back into the fold and start grooming future candidates so that we can get going with a fresh start!
man, the cnmi is an exciting place to live. so lucky to see history unfolding right before our eyes.
Brad, I saw the youtube and I think that the letter to the Editor dated October 4, 2007 was a clear indication that she did not comply with the residency requirement.
To request for transparency is to also be transparent. I think that Greg Cruz is leaning on the fact that the Election Director, Election Chairperson, and Public Auditor are all relatives of her.
In the eyes of the public what do you think they see. It doesn't matter what a candidate says at this point...it's what the people think that counts.
After her Unity March do you think that the people in the Precinct where she claimed to be from cares what she has to say. I don't think so.
I have been approached by many people and let me tell you it's not pretty what I hear about Tina right now. They are entitled to their opinion and thats the name of the game. Public opinion and this is how the game is played.
Judging by the ending of the youtube stating "more to come" I think they have their guns ready. We know we can certainly expect that. PH!
Anonymous,
Please review PL 14-87 which amends PL 12-18 and removes the requirement that a candidate for the House of Representatives must reside in the election precinct for 2 years.
The amended Law simple states the candidate must "reside in the election precinct" and removes the 2 year requirement.
I'm pretty sure that the election commission was well aware of this, and is well aware of ALL the laws regarding this issue, before they certified Ms. Tina Sablan.
Greg Cruz's video is just another example of his ignorance, his refusal to accept defeat and another display of how RACIST he is.
Before he starts pointing fingers at others, he should take a look closer to home, and so should you. I think you will find your Mr. Cruz to have a few secrets he has not been too "transparent" about himself.
And for the record, I reside and voted in precinct 1. I voted for Tina Sablan and contrary to what you wrote, I DO CARE about what Tina has to say! So do a great many other people that I personally know and talk to who also live and voted in precinct 1.
Judging by the latest youtube video's TTT has been putting out, those "guns" you must be referring to are Squirt Guns, because they come across looking like a bunch of childish, sore loosing, racists. Nothing more, nothing less.
And since we are all entitled to our own opinions as you say, here is mine. In the future, please think for yourself instead of letting Greg Cruz's youtube videos (that we all know he did not produce himself) or his letters to the editor (which we all know he DID write himself *chuckles*) influence you.
Adios!
Greg Cruz, like him or not, is earning himself the same reputation Tina has earned herself over the last year, as someone who stands up for what they believe is right, whether they are right or wrong.
When you talk about him you call him racist, ignorant, and uneducated, but you know what? You're still talking about him.
...and it is not fair to call people names without at least identifying yourself.
Dispensa yu saipan blogger,
esti sinenina nihu chogue.Y na'an-hu si Mark P. Sablan aka "Duh".
ps: I did not call Greg uneducated but you just did.
By the way, you ask me to identify myself but all I see is a picture of half your face in the dark. Would your first name be "The" middle name be "Saipan" and last name be "Blogger"? If not, please identify yourself.
duh...maybe you better read the law because although the law was amended you failed to see that there was a residency requirement and a voting requirement...duh!
the letter to the editor dated October 4 to November 4 is clearly 30 days unless I am stupefied. Oh ya...maybe you are stupefied by omitting certain languages in the law.
I think that Saipan blogger is correct and duh is wrong. No matter if you reply in Chamorro or German the law is the law...duh!?X@#$#%%^
Exqueeze me, dispensa sa kalentura yu!
Ombre Mark Duh or Mark De doo doo doo duh...The point is that your cousin or whatever opened up a can of spam and guess what Uncle Greg knows about the election law. Don't let ignorance cloud your judgment. I checked this with other politician and by the way they were incumbents and they all agreed that based on her letter to the editor she did not meet the requirement.
Mark basta kumuentos taki. Check Uncle Greg fan and put on the song "I can see clearly now" Adios!
and all of this from a video about why asian chicks and white guys date?
btw ang, greg isn't getting that same reputation as tina. tina didn't try to evict the majority of saipan in a hateful way.
spot on with regard to the name calling. all you have to do is check angelo's profile to find his blog, which explains exactly who he is and what he's about.
and if you're going to bust out insults, include a translation for everyone. this is a public blog.
i know what you told him about his shit comments, but you need to be brave enough to use your name to hurl insults.
that goes to all of you shitheads.
*note: i used that as an example, as well as for a little comic relief.
come on now, get with the program. nameless name callers are cowards. if you want to roar like a lion you have to walk with the pride, not in the grass with the hyenas.
My name is posted clear as day on every single one of my posts. Here, spell it out:
アンジェロ・ビラゴメズ
It's not my fault if you can't read.
...and those are names I've heard others call Greg. I wasn't singling you out.
See look, we're still talking about him!
With all jokes to the side, I do not understand why any CNMI resident would not support Tina.
She is smart, hardworking, blunt, and has a sincere and deep rooted love for Saipan and it‘s people here…all of them. I have not seen any other candidates with her vision for the CNMI.
Does anyone have anything against her other than mindless character attacks and race based rhetoric?
I hope she looks over top of the ignorant and continues the same course.
PL 12-18 was ammended by PL 14-87 (signed into law on Sept. 19, 2005)
here is the ammended section regarding requirements for representatives:
PL 14-87 - To amend the Election Law of the Commonwealth of the Northern
Mariana Islands
"6303. Representatives.
A candidate for the House of Representatives shall be qualified to vote in the Commonwealth, at least twenty-one (21) years of age, a resident and a domiciliary of the Commonwealth for at least three (3) years immediately preceding the date on which a representative would take office.
A candidate for the House of Representatives shall be a
registered voter and a resident of the election precinct where he or she is a candidate.
No person convicted of a felony in the Commonwealth or in any area under the jurisdiction of the United States may be eligible for this office unless a full
pardon has been granted."
tina met all of these requirements as stated in law. a simple call to a lawyer would have saved you a lot of video editing work. unless of course your goal isn't to get the truth but to smear.
feel free to review the entire PL 14-87 at this location:

thanks, glen. so relieved to know that my crush, i mean your girlfriend, is still on the up and up.
G it was nice of you to put out the law. everyone is aware of the law and despite what you put out I would advise you to stop the PR mission and read the section carefully.
Let me ask all you intelligent individuals...Why was the law changed /amended in the first place?
It will be interesting to find out. I think Greg Cruz is on the right track and we just have to wait and see.
It may be bigger than the 4th of July fireworks.
Brad...I believe it was mark P. Sablan aka duh..who started trash talking. I voted in As Lito not just Duh. My name is @#$%^&&***(. Hope this satisfies everyone.

the law is the law. why it was changed?? i have no idea. probably because it would make little sense to have a representative for a precinct living in a different one than the one they are representing. saipan is not that large of an island that this would pose a huge problem however i think it is the principle of the matter rather than anything else.

Assnonymous,
Yawn!
"It may be bigger than the 4th of July fireworks."
what will? and does that mean hordes of people will have to go to chc with powder burns?
;)
oh, and that stuff in japanese is actually angelo's full name. he learned how to write it while starring in a japanese soap opera called "the gays of our lives."
yep, just a little fuin between friends but he's gonna pay for that video of me n' jeff.
;P
g, it's apparent that you and duh are one and the same and getting more hits or pr to help you guys out and its understandable. I do believe that you need to check out the facts and the history because everything will come out.
If what you implying is true then why have residency requirements for voters. Isn't this being "ASSONOMICAL?" Pardon my french but I read the law and there are two requirements of candidates and despite what you stated just now I cannot see how she was certified...Oh ya I know why and how. My bad.
The name of the TV show was "The Gays took our Wives."
I played Bofi, the slightly retarded and mischievous drug dealer.
ah, so desuka?
Talaga?

Wife watching me: whose blog is that?
Me: Brad's
Wife: the Man Ho's blog is funny. I like the hairy arms, plus the butt.
