"As the constituents of Bradlandia already are aware, the month of May has officially been declared National "No Hot Water or Air-Con" Month. While there have been some rumblings of an election recount, his royal highness Bradinthesand reminded the good people of Bradlandia that he is the king and thereby his rule is not subject to voting processes."Actually, last month I thought of creating National "No Hot Water or Air-Con" Month for May because I wanted to see just how low I could get my utility bill to drop. Turns out, it's a smart thing I did because the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation doubled this month's power rates.
Talk about timing!
So now it's all about ceiling fans and cold showers. So far, so good! And I have a built-in escape clause because my apartment has a generator. In the event of a power outage, I am free to crank on the hot water heater and use the air conditioning because they aren't on the meter when the generator is running. Brilliant!
If you're looking for more details, both the the Saipan Tribune and the Marianas Variety reported that the CUC is raising its rates something fierce. I hope it doesn't get too hot this month...
Silver Lining?
I guess that's just one of the prices to pay for living on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Hey, it's not that I want to pay the power rates, but it sure beats breathing in smog, sitting in traffic jams, shoveling driveways, road rage, wacko street people, drive-by shootings and Bill O'Reilly.

There's a lot of things in this world I can stand, but Bill O'Reilly isn't one of them. Maybe the Silver Lining to the CUC and Bill O'Reilly is that I won't have the money to afford cable with these new rates!

Hey, I never would have learned about you porn without O'Reilly.
Funny how he can slam something while giving it publicity and inflating his ratings.

See? You can't stay informed w/o O'Reilly.
For the record, I only visited once, by accident. I was repelled and only read the comments.
Actually, I'm just using the site for research.
lol
if that counts as research i need to sign up for that class at nmc...
There's a youporn.com? That's awesome!
Now you just need to get rid of the most repugnant of your bad habits, Brad. Eating.
Think of the money you will save.
Already you are saving by not bathing, adding to that growing aroma by keeping your apartment hot and steamy with no aircon. Now if you can just cut out the eating habit you could then cut expenses to zero since you would not need the apartment at all.
What think you, oh King?

A faithful subject of Bradlandia
