As newborns go, Keoni's weight was in the 95th percentile and his height/length was in the 90th percentile. I'm not saying that he's going to be the white Shaquille O'Neal, but I expect him to start dunking before he turns five.
Kathy and I have discussed a new He Said, She Said blog, but right now we're trying to get used to our new sleeping arrangements. I'm not gonna lie, she's doing most of the work at night because my nipples don't yield any milk (so far). She's not alone though because I'm there to feed her and to change diapers.
Because I'm such a "me" guy, this blog will still be mostly about what's going on in my life but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll have a considerable amount of baby news from here on out.
Getting used to parenthood isn't easy. More than anything, I think the word that best describes the experience as surreal. We've got a little baby at our house that we actually made! This isn't a babysitting assignment that's going to end when his parents come back from a night out.
We're the parents and the two of us get to watch this child progress through a multitude of firsts on his way to manhood. It's difficult to explain but I knew that I loved Keoni unconditionally the first time we looked at each other.
Sure, I may have looked like a blur to him but he looked like the most beautiful thing that I've ever seen. It was like my life became 10 times better in an instant. I couldn't be more proud of this little man.
With some luck I'll be the kind of Dad that he deserves.
Looks like our little bundle of global domination has already made a difference in this world.

That's what I've picked up so far. Thanks for stopping by to say "hi." I kind of thought that people didn't stop by to visit the ol' blog anymore since I stopped writing regularly. Glad to see that you found it!
