Weddings, Meetings and Bears, Oh My!

It happens. Even when things seem to be going my way there's always something that creeps up and gets on my nerves. The wedding planning has rolled along like The Comet but I've finally locked down a couple of things with the help of friends in the past couple of days.

After much ado, we've locked in our new locations for the wedding and the reception. Today I got the initial okay from the band, so we should be set. If the initial island chapel and reception area experience is any example, I'll feel much better once we're set in stone.

Oh, and there was a really cool development this morning as Congressman Kilili Sablan presented Kathy and I with a gift for our wedding! Since he won't be on-island for our wedding, Kilili gave us special wedding flutes for our reception that are etched with the House of Representatives logo.

How cool is that?

I spent a part of the morning in conversation with our Congressman and I got to hear some of his plans for the future of the CNMI. He really seems to have the right ideas that will bring about some positive change to the Commonwealth.

Well, there is still much to do but it seems like everything is coming together.
